Welcome to St Andrew’s CE (Aided) Primary School.

This prospectus offers you a glimpse of life at our school. We warmly invite you to visit the school to ask questions and to experience the friendly atmosphere and positive ethos of our outstanding school.

St. Andrews is a small rural primary school comprising of four classes and a pre-school. Children aged from 3 to 11 years old attend the school which extends across Pre-school, Foundation, Key Stage 1 (years 1 and 2) and Key Stage 2 (years 3, 4, 5 and 6). At present the school has 94 children on roll with 21 staff. St. Andrew’s Primary School is a thriving place where the Governors and staff are dedicated to providing a high standard of education for all of its pupils. We are also committed to providing a broad range of activities and opportunities during and after school to ensure that the children enjoy and thrive during their time here.

As a Church of England School we have strong links with the Parish Church of St Andrews and the school is an important part of the community in North Kilworth. The Christian ethos of the school goes far beyond the Religious Education curriculum. In work and play children are given the chance to find out about the beliefs and values of other people and are encouraged to understand that diversity is the privilege of a lifetime.

We hope that you and your child will be happy to become part of our much valued school community. We believe that the school is a positive choice to make for your child and we will endeavour to ensure that your child’s potential and happiness is realised.

We look forward to working in partnership with you.

A message from the Chair of Governors

On behalf of my fellow members of the Governing Body of St. Andrews School, thank you for visiting our website.  We are incredibly proud of the pupils and staff of the school, who have contributed towards making it an outstanding place to learn. This was recognised by Ofsted when they inspected the school in February 2012, with us being awarded an “Outstanding” grading.

In addition to the excellent progress that pupils make at St. Andrews, the school offers a wide curriculum that pushes children to reach their full potential.  Over the course of their time with us it also equips children for the transition to secondary education.  All of this is underpinned by a strong Christian ethos.

Children can also participate in extra-curricular activities, such as music, drama and dance.  There are also breakfast and after-school clubs.
As a small village school we offer a secure, friendly and caring learning environment that is open to all children, as well as pre-school facilities.  Our pre-school offers structured learning through play as well as the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor facilities when the weather permits!

Every child gets one chance in life to get a good education.  We are committed to doing all we can to ensure your children get the start in life they deserve.  If you are interested in finding out more about St. Andrews and what we could do for your children then please contact us.
