St Andrew'sCE Primary School

History

A Look Back in Time

St Andrew’s Church of England Primary School was founded in 1847, and was a Church Aided Primary School.  The original school was located within the centre of the village and had two classrooms. The original school bell was removed and now resides at the school’s new location.

The school moved to its present site in 1970 and now has 3 classrooms and an Early Years classroom with large outdoor provision. It is a spacious school with several additional rooms including a large well-stocked library, an art room and a sports hall.  The school benefits from superb surroundings, with a large sports field, nature and Forest School area, an adventure playground, astro-turf and a tarmac play area.

In 2016 the school became an academy and joined Learn Academy Trust working in close partnership with other local primary schools.
